The harbour is only a few minutes walk from the cabin, where you can hire a boat with outboard motor. You can also have a beautiful, fifteen minutes walk over the meadows to a delightful lake where you also can have a swim. If you prefer a longer hike, the nature trail takes you up to the top of Sokkanuten. The reception desk has maps of the area and suggested itineraries. It is only a five-minute drive to the supermarket and touristinformation.

The spring is particularly beautiful, with clear, fresh air and the light-green shoots peeking out of the ground. New-born lambs frolic just outside the reception area and our rabbits like to be stroked. In the summer and autumn the area has abundant supplies of edible mushrooms. This area has berries for picking and a rich bird life and fauna all year round. If you want to do the hike to Preikestolen when there are less people, the spring and autumn is the best time to do it..
